Pure Science and Applied Science

Pure and Applied Science is a two-year pre-university profile that prepares students for entry to university in the physical and engineering sciences. The profile will introduce students to the basics of chemistry and biology while allowing them to obtain an in-depth knowledge of mathematics and physics. From Pure and Applied Science, students can pursue a Bachelor’s degree in such fields as computer science, mathematics, geology, and physics and in professional programs such as engineering and architecture.
Among the skills you will develop are:
approaching problem-solving in a systematic way
applying the experimental method
using data-processing technology and electronic forms of communication
using computerized data-acquisition systems
identifying the context in which scientific ideas originated and evolved
using the basic vocabulary of the sciences in French
